This vehicle was groundbreaking in 2009, being the first compact 4WD to elegantly interate camper functions in this way. It still turns heads in the outback, having made several trips to places like the Kimberley, Dampier Peninsula, the Pilbara and the West Coast/Ningaloo, Central Australia, the APY Lands, Strezlecki and Birdsville Tracks, Oodnadatta Track, Tanami, Nullabor, Lake Eyre, Macquarie Marshes and so on, all over this amazing and beautiful country. Has done virtually no city stop-start driving, yet has virtually no rattles and certainly no rust! Traces of red dirt may be found in nooks and crannies... :-)
Hint - Renault own 51% of Nissan, and share vehicle development. Thus Koleos and X-Trail are close cousins, sharing all mechanical parts. Makes getting servicing/parts very easy (we hesitate to say cheap - all parts in Australia are a rip-off), but no need for boutique mechanics.
We will be very sad to see our beloved Koleos go, so we are going to ask the new owner to stay in touch and send us photos and stories of the places you go!
